A door slammed in your face?

ESL...English for Snake Learners

Have you ever had a bad day at work? Well, this week that day was Wednesday...all sorts of major and minor incidents...to top it all off, one of my colleagues phones me: "There's a snake outside my office door!"...and we're on the third floor. I guess the snake wasn't interested in making an office call because it slithered away gracefully to...the language lab...where it met it's fateful death beneath the heel of one of the students' shoes. "Teacher, you have to make sure you kill it, or it will come looking for you later!" one of my Thai students explained. Comforting thought.

Como dice mi mama

Viva la "enemistad entre la serpiente y la mujer"!...Una de nuestras tipicas viboras de todos los dias...a esta casi la piso caminando por la calle...y la semana pasada habia una cuatro veces mas grande que esta enroscada en mi sala....arghhhh!!!

Que niivel, no??? Jaja... En el casamiento de una de las docentes de esta medianamente alta casa de estudios, me toco sentarme en la mesa del presidente (del colegio, of course)...ah, y no les conte que fui a cenar con el embajador argentino en Tailandia?....
Bueno, en realidad tambien habia otros 40 argentinos invitados a su residencia para una festichola del 25 de mayo....asado, tartas, vinos argentinos y unos postres riquisimos!! (Yo comi las tartas y postres solamente...imaginense una argentina vegetariana en un asado argentino en Tailandia....que desubicada! :) )

Y hablando de cosas raras...


Tipicos postres tailandeses...mayormente gelatinas de coco, arroz pegajoso dulce con mango, y lo de adelante, ni la menor idea!....
